My Approach to Yoga Practice
Every time I step onto the mat or enter a quiet space, it’s an opportunity—to listen, to grow, and to return to center. Teaching is therefore my way of sharing this invaluable gift with others. With this in mind, I strive to create safe, open-hearted spaces where individuals from all backgrounds can feel supported, seen, and truly inspired on their journey toward personal growth. Teachers donate 5% of proceeds to underserved communities through the Kunga Fund. My Journey
Years ago, during a challenging and transitional time in high school, I found myself overwhelmed—my mind racing, emotions buried, and an unhealthy desire for control quietly taking root in my strong, athletic body. I didn’t fully understand what was happening, but I knew I needed support. With the help of a dedicated team of professionals, I began a journey of self-discovery, learning to better understand and heal from disordered eating.
It was during a summer of study at the University of Hawaii that I found yoga—and something within me shifted. That first class introduced me to the power of breath, movement, and stillness. It gave me a safe space to reconnect with my body, explore my emotions, and begin nurturing myself with compassion and intention.
Yoga became more than a practice; it became a lifeline. It opened a doorway inward and helped guide me through life’s highs and lows with greater clarity and presence. The healing I experienced continues to shape who I am today.
As I continue evolving, it’s my heartfelt mission to support others in their own healing and growth. Sharing this story is part of that commitment. I believe deeply in creating spaces where others can feel seen, supported, and inspired to reclaim their wholeness.
